training ground season 4

Training Ground creates a regular touch-point to the company for local performers from all levels of experience. It intends to be an evolving and dynamic training space, led by NORPA Artistic Associates, with a focus on physical theatre making, improvisation techniques movement and choreography. Following on from the success of the 2017 series, led by Artistic Director Julian Louis and Associate Artist Jade Dewi, NORPA are extending Training Ground into 2018 with a focus on improvisation and performance skills.

Masterclasses — exploration into form, place and story

This is a series of focused intensives for professional artists. Our Masterclasses will connect local and interstate artists in a highly exploratory and rigorous studio environment. This year, we drill down into the disciplines of terrain, dance and theatre, writing and physical theatre.

Our new Artistic Associates will join Artistic Director Julian Louis in leading 2017 Masterclasses.
