Lady Beatle by Naomi Price & Adam Brunes

NORPA presents a Little Red Company & La Boîte Production

about the show

Based on true accounts, Lady Beatle, an original pop culture cabaret, weaves a fictitious narrative about the women who inspired many of British pop royalty The Beatles’ most famous songs, including Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, Eleanor Rigby, She Loves You and Yesterday.

The production incorporates world-class musicianship, original and surprising arrangements of popular songs, shrewd social commentary and emotional resonance. Lady Beatle reunites long time writing partners Adam Brunes and Naomi Price and regular collaborators Jason Glenwright (lighting designer) and Jamie Taylor (sound design). Australian fashion designer Leigh Buchanan joins the team for the first time.

Lady Beatle also features four of Australia’s most accomplished musicians: Michael Manikus (piano) has been touring the world for the past decade as pianist and music director for international pop-opera group The TEN Tenors; Jason McGregor (guitar) is one of Australia’s most sought after guitarists and a regular collaborator with leading Australian recording artist Adam Brand; Andrew Johnson (bass guitar) has countless major music theatre credits to his name including The Lion King and Wicked; and Mik Easterman remains one of Australia’s most in-demand drummers.
