For young people aged 16 – 20

NORPA’s Saturday acting classes are a great way to learn and develop the craft of acting, build confidence, be challenged and have fun.

The classes will run over five (5) Saturdays in term 2 at Lismore City Hall. 

This term our ensembles will focus on acting essentials and scripted theatre. Participants will explore some of the professional acting techniques that help bring the written word to life on stage. 

Ages 16-20 Open Ensemble

Open Ensemble will focus on learning and developing skills in text analysis, character work, voice and movement, stagecraft and more. Over the course of five weeks, the ensemble will build towards a short showing for family and friends.


Dates: Saturday May 22 – Saturday June 19 2021
Time: 12pm – 2pm
Venue: NORPA, Lismore City Hall


Early Bird Cost: $170 per person if booked before Friday 7 May 2021.
Standard cost: $200 per person if booked after Friday 7 May 2021.

About Scott Johnson

Scott trained as an actor at the National Institute of Dramatic Art. He has worked as an actor extensively for over 20 years with companies including Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, Queensland Theatre Company and Bell Shakespeare Company. Scott has performed award winning lead roles in major commercial musicals, and appeared in many films and TV shows.

As a Teacher/Director Scott has worked at NIDA,VCA, Monash University and was the Director of Showfit Musical Theatre course in Melbourne for 7 years.
