Bundjalung Nghari – Indigenise

NORPA in association with BLEACH* Festival & Byron Writers Festival
Our home, the Lismore City Hall, has been devastated by the floods. While many of our season shows have had to be cancelled, Bundjalung Nghari – Indigenise will go ahead at the Brunswick Picture House.
Your support of our homegrown works means more than ever. Grab your friends and join us for a special night of story, reflection and theatre!
ABOUT THE SHOW
Bundjalung Nghari (meaning: story) is theatrical readings of a collection of stories, poems and essays, penned by First Nations Writers.
Five Bundjalung writers, Steven Oliver, Melissa Lucashenko, Daniel Browning, Kylie Caldwell and Ella Noah Bancroft, explore the healing and resurgence of being back home on country. We are still here, with the same voice and language of our ancestors, Bundjalung Nghari – Indigenise enables a new amplification of the continued truth telling in the 21st century.
Performed by Steven Oliver, Ella Noah Bancroft, Rhoda Roberts AO, Sarah Roberts-Field, Tom Davies, and Billy McPherson, and featuring live music by Kauri Munro-Greentree. Curated by Rhoda Roberts AO.
