Street Shakespeare – a NORPA Youth film project

A NORPA Youth film project from the heart of Lismore for young people aged 12 – 18

Be a part of NORPA Youth’s first film project – Street Shakespeare.

Over seven weeks from July 24 – September 5 2021, selected participants will explore and rehearse selected works of William Shakespeare, developing professional techniques in the analysis and performance of classical text for the camera.

The course will culminate with the selection of rehearsed and directed Shakespeare scenes and monologues being filmed on location around Lismore. The resulting short film will be presented in NORPA’s Studio theatre before each performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

This project will be directed by Scott Johnson, NORPA’s Director – Youth Theatre.

Students must be available 9.30am – 4pm on the final weekend of the course (Sat 4 & Sun 5 September) for dress rehearsals and filming.
