Important information for the Makers Hub

NORPA’s Makers Hub is a large, pop-up studio space at Lismore Showgrounds on beautiful Bundjalung Country. It’s a space for artists to gather and connect.

To make sure you have the best experience possible, please read the information below. If there’s anything we haven’t covered, please send us an email ([email protected]) or give us a call 02 6622 0300.

What to expect at the Makers Hub
The Makers Hub will be a space that looks and feels like home, with lighting, a great floor, a breakout space, and the support of the NORPA team.

Leading artists from around Australia will facilitate free workshops in dance, theatre making and physical theatre, both for professional and community level actors, dancers, theatre makers and movement artists.

The Makers Hub will be a space for research and creative development for new NORPA projects in collaboration with local and visiting artists, sowing the seeds of new performance work for future regional audiences and beyond. Collaboration is at the centre of NORPA’s work – it’s the way we make theatre.

We have a waitlist of people wanting to attend most workshops and events, so if you can no longer attend for any reason please let us know by sending an email to [email protected]

What to wear / will it be cold?
The Makers Hub is in a large warehouse and winter will be setting in.  We strongly recommend wearing something warm and bringing layers. You’ll receive an email with any special requirements for the workshops you’re participating in.

Food and drink
Workshops: Teas and instant coffee will be available.  Unfortunately there is no food outlet onsite, so please bring all the food and snacks you will need with you.  You’ll have access to a kitchen including a fridge and microwave.

Spark Social (Thu 25 May): There’ll be a licensed bar and delicious gourmet food by Secret Chef available for purchase at accessible prices.

Arrival and parking
