Production Stage Manager
NORPA is seeking an experienced Production Stage Manager to lead the coordination and smooth delivery of a NORPA production that will tour the Northern Rivers in early 2026. This short-term contract will cover all phases of the production — from pre-production and rehearsals through to touring and final performances at small venues.
The PSM will work with NORPA’s Lead Producer and the production’s creative team as a key point of communication and leadership for all production and technical elements of the production ensuring every performance is delivered at the highest professional standard.
We are looking for someone who has:-
- Proven experience as Production Stage Manager, ideally with touring productions.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills under pressure.
- Ability to work within a small team.
- Technical knowledge of lighting, sound, staging, and OH&S practices.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving ability.
- Adaptability to diverse venues and changing conditions.
- Current driver’s licence (First Aid certification desirable).
You must be available full time from 19 January – 3 March 2026 and have reasonable availability for some hours (up to 2 weeks) of pre-rehearsal work from mid September 2025 for pre-planning with the team.
