Improvisation Workshop led by Fred Copperwaite

Improvisation Workshop led by Fred Copperwaite

A Dinner Party at the End of the World program

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Join acclaimed theatre-maker Fred Copperwaite for a dynamic full-day improvisation workshop where anything can happen. Using storytelling, movement, spoken word, games and play, you’ll explore performance ideas sparked by the theme “The Dinner Party at the End of the World”. Inspired by the raw and powerful stories of the Lismore floods, this theme responds to the climate crisis and the ways communities experience and heal post disaster.

This is a space for experimentation, connection and collective creativity — where trust, respect and fun are at the heart of the process. Your participation will contribute to an ambitious creative development process which may inform a new NORPA production. There may be additional opportunities to be involved and all participants will be invited to an end of year sharing in November 2025.

This workshop will be filmed and is part of NORPA’s Dinner Party at the End of the World Creative Development project.

Suitable for ages 18+. No prior acting or performance experience is necessary.

Please note that the workshop themes may be sensitive for some people. A creative trauma therapist will be available throughout the day.
