ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Working with Kaz Therese’ Radical Kindness theatre making practice, this two-day workshop will explore ritual, movement, text and sound to ‘dream new and critical futures’ in these times of radical change.

WHEN

This workshop is held across two days and participants must attend both.

Friday 26 May 5 – 8pm and Saturday 27 May 10am – 4pm

HOW TO APPLY

Places are limited and Expression of Interest applications are now closed.  

All applications will be considered in consultation with the lead artists and based on responses provided in the ‘Your experience’ section. Successful participants will be notified by Wed 12 April 2023.  If you’re unsuccessful, we’ll pop you on a waiting list and let you know if a place becomes available as soon as possible.

ABOUT KAZ THERESE

Kaz Therese (they/them), is an award-winning director, programmer and cultural leader, working across theatre, visual arts and dance, with a practice grounded in performance, activism and community building. In 2022 they presented the world premiere of their solo work Sleeplessness commissioned by Carriageworks. Kaz’s nationally acclaimed works explore the urgent topics of our times: Australia’s refugee and First Nation policies with Tribunal, gender and intersectional feminism with Playlist (nominated for a Helpmann Award for Best Visual and Physical theatre), young people’s need for freedom with Jump First, Ask Later, winner of a Helpmann Award and Australian Dance Award.
