Important Information for Love For One Night

Love For One Night is an outdoor event at the Eltham Hotel. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your night.

Is this the same production as 2022?

Love for One Night returns as the same core production you may remember, but refreshed and refined. Director Julian Louis is revisiting the work making thoughtful tweaks to deepen the experience and enhance the magic. Two original cast members return, joined by three new voices and a new musical director, bringing fresh energy while honouring what audiences loved the first time.

What is The Upgrade experience?

If you love skipping queues and scoring the best seats in the house, the Upgrade ticket is calling. With just 50 tickets per performance, you’ll glide straight into a guaranteed spot in the front two rows — leaving you more time to sip your complimentary drink and relax before the show.

For you complimentary drink you can choose between a Common People Hi Vis Kiss Kolsch, a selection of NOW wines or soft drink. 

What is the Right Amongst It on-stage seating experience?

Two 4-person tables are available on stage where you can experience the play from an intimate, actor level perspective. Tickets for this experience are sold as a table of four, seated together at picnic tables on stage. Please note seats do not have back support and some areas of the stage may have restricted view.

You’ll be seated on stage as patrons of the pub, with the stories of Love for One Night unfolding around you. At times, the performers may be up close, and you may be asked to stand up/sit down. There’s no pressure to perform and full directions will be given by stage staff. Just come ready to play along and be part of the fun.

Before the show, our team will give you a quick briefing so you know what to expect and how to join the action. Please head to your table by 7.20pm via the VIP entry stairs in the beer garden.

Dinner before the show

Dinner bookings are essential. Seating times are available from 5pm—6.15pm to ensure you are fed before the show starts. Check out the menu.

Can I take drinks into the show?

Only unopened cans can be taken to your seats. Stop in at the POP-UP bar for a tinnie on your way in. And why not pack them in a limited edition Love for One Night cooler bag or stubbie holder? Available at the Box Office merch stall. 

Accommodation at the Eltham Hotel

Accommodation is available to book during the season. It’s limited to two rooms per night so jump online to check availability and book.
Please note rooms are not accessible during the show.

Parking

Parking is available around the pub in the village of Eltham. It is limited, so we recommend carpooling if you can.
Designated drivers can grab a free soft drink, just let the bar team know.
There is limited disabled parking for permit holders near the western entrance by the Box Office tent.

Only available at The Eltham during the Love for One Night season. Grab yours at the Box Office tent, open from 5pm on show days. Once it’s gone, it’s gone — so grab yours while you can!

What should I wear/bring?

Temperatures drop after the sun goes down. Even if it’s warm during the day, we strongly recommend bringing a beanie, warm clothing, some additional layers and a weatherproof jacket. Bring a cushion if you prefer a soft seat!

What do I do on arrival?

Head straight to the Box Office tent to grab your wristband.
If you have booked for dinner — order your food, grab a drink from the bar and enjoy the pub till showtime.
The bar will also be open after the show.

How long is the show?

The show runs approximately 80 minutes, without an interval.

Can I take photos/videos?

Filming and photography is not allowed while the show is on, but please feel free to take pics before and after and share away. Tag @norpalismore and @elthamhotelnsw

Can I bring my kids?

This show is recommended for ages 12 and up, due to adult content and strong language.

What concessions do you accept?

We offer concession priced tickets to supported cardholders, including:

Concessions must be valid at the time of booking and apply per ticket. Valid ID may be requested on arrival at the theatre.

What happens if it’s raining?

Love for One Night is an outdoor event. The show will go ahead unless extreme weather is a threat to patron, staff or performer safety. If it’s lightly raining you should expect the performance to proceed as scheduled. If any rain is predicted, we strongly recommend coming prepared with a raincoat and/or poncho (umbrellas can’t be used while seated).

We’ll provide as much notice as possible regarding any changes to performances, however as weather conditions are unpredictable this may change at any time. We’ll get in touch with you via email and/or text, and please keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram for the most up to date information.

What happens if the show is cancelled?

If a show is cancelled, you’ll have the option to rebook on an alternative date (subject to availability) or you may request a refund. Please note, dinner and accommodation bookings remain valid, unless you reschedule them separately.

Even if the show can’t go on, dinner is still served — come out and enjoy the night anyway!
