Wild women of Wildskin

Announcing the wild women of Wildskin

We’re thrilled to announce the cast for Wildskin — our bush thriller premiering in September, with an all-female cast.

The wild women of Wildskin include Vivienne Frehner (pictured), Bianca Mackail, Katia Molina, Olivia Porter and Nicci Wilks; each bringing a unique set of skills across artforms to the Wildskin ensemble.

Vivienne Frehner is a dancer, physical theatre practitioner and filmmaker. She has been involved in dance projects for Bleach festival Gold Coast and in projects with our friends The Farm, most recently performing her site specific work 15 Ross Street in Lennox Head.

Bianca Mackail is an acrobatic artist who combines strength, agility and flow in the air and on the floor. Specializing in non-narrative conceptual circus, she strives to create work that’s from the heart and soul.

Circus artist Olivia Porter has performed for many years with Circus Oz, is a regular performer in Cheeky Cabaret put on by local Brunswick Picture House crew, and recently created a duo show Party Ghost with Jarred Dewey under the direction of Nicci Wilks.

Nicci Wilks has been working in the performing arts for over 30 years performing at festivals and theatres around the world from the Pitjantjatjara lands to 42nd St, NYC. Most recently she was a co-creator and performer for the multi Green Room Award winning show ANIMAL.

Katia Molino is a freelance performer who has worked with many companies including Stalker, Marrugekku, Ensemble Offspring, The Opera Project, and Theatre Kantanka. She has previously performed in the NORPA’s acclaimed production Railway Wonderland, and Dreamland.

Then, add Hattie Dalton (story), Charlotte Haywood (set & costume design), Sian James-Holland (lighting), Tegan Nicholls (composer/sound design) and Jessica Frost (stage manager) and we’ve got a formidable team of wonderful women bringing Wildskin to the stage.

The team set into the NORPA studio next week for their final creative development.

Wildskin will premiere at NORPA from Thursday 27 – Saturday 29 September & Wednesday 3 – Saturday 6 October, 2018.
